Body image
I have to ask one question what is with people blaming teleology, toys or even others for how we feel about ourselves or even our actions. I just don`t understand now not saying that they don`t play a role but saying that they are the clause of ting like barbie saying that it makes girl feel self conscious about ourselves and making us as people feel different but can that be because the culture if not just human nature. Just saying for the record just to let you know one thing that i remember since i was little and it sounds awful but just being able to point out differences in people. You can`t also say that Barbie cause young girls to be self conscious and not blame themselves and also blame the girl at one point plus just the type of culture we live in. So i have question on just how people think and what people think is the answers for the problems that we have in the world and what cause them and can you really blame toys and video games and others things for what people do and how people feel about themselves and others I pose that question to you?
Dolls and Body image
The question on the senior writing contemporary issues page was, to what extent has your body image been influenced by dolls and action figures? To me, it doesn't effect me at all and I don't understand what the big deal is about the body image of dolls like Barbie. In the mirror on America book on page 88 Barbie's Newest Values by Gloria Borger stated that "Barbie is a fantasy doll for girls, not a real role model for women". I agree with that. barbie is just a toy and not something that women in society should look up too. and yes barbie has a unrealistic body image so why would you try and look like her. Also if you are so unsecure with yourself that you need to look like a toy then you have the problem.

World Tensions
The first time I heard about ISIS was when my friend mentioned the beheading of journalists. ISIS has started making threats against our country. They are only a small Islamic militant group and are not a direct threat to our homeland yet, according to this article. However ISIS can broadcast their ideals to the US and cause events like the Boston Marathon bombings. Our president has already taken action against this group, but many critics say he is underestimating what ISIS is capable of. What do you think our response to these threats should be? Any other important events you have in mind?
Gender Issues
Gender roles have been present in all of human history. This video shows that children have some knowledge of gender roles. (Don't know the details of this experiment so I can't confirm validity.) But we can see that in the past, there weren't many male nurses. There weren't many girls that were interested in football. If someone moved away from the gender norm, it was like breaking a law. To see things like this now isn't shocking. Do you think the continued existence of the Miss America Pageant or the Mr. Universe bodybuilding contest still influence people's ideas of gender? What are the sources of our gender identity and behaviors?

I fell like Moore's film was very controversial and took a very left sided view point. I also think some of his arguments are just speculation and not really facts. I said this because there was a part in the film where president Bush was at the school with the kids and he was just informed of the second plain hitting the world trade center, and Moore says what he thinks President Bush is thinking of. But he just made up or speculated what Bush was thinking. It also made Bush seem as if he didn't know what to do, but we saw in the other film that Bush was just trying to keep everything calm. I'm not defending Bush, but I think some of Moore's arguments were taken a little too far.

Future Job Skills
America's future workforce will have some significant difference to our
current workers. We seem to be getting more involved with technology,
and it will evolve very quickly. In this
article, they say some specific skills that will be in demand are web
design, user experience, and being able to create content for several
types of mobile devices.

How Relavent to your lives are the events of 9/11
I don't remember the events of 9/11, so they aren't too relevant to me. I know some people might remember being in there classrooms or huddled around the TV, but I don't remember anything from 9/11. Though I don't remember anything from that day, the events are still relevant because they impact many things that we do differently now. Like getting on an air plane, there is lots more security and processes that you have to go threw. Or like at school, they have security guards at the front door and the doors outside are always locked. So, event thought I don't remember the events if 9/11, they are still relevant to me.

How relevant to your life are the events of 9/11/01
The events of 9/11/01 are very relevant to my life because i had a family member that died and another that was in the building at the time of the planes. So the event really hits a emotional part of me because i have had a family member that died that day and other that was injured. But at the same time my life is effected by what happen by that days events. I have heard what had happen and gotten a first hand experience of what had happen and what it was like. So to me yes it was very relevant to my life
